Criminal Record Sealing/Expungement

You might be able to seal or expunge your criminal record. This is something most people don’t know about.

The law just recently changed so you can now expunge/seal an unlimited number of non-violent non-sex offense misdemeanors, fifth degree felonies, and fourth degree felonies after only a year, if your eligible. You can now also seal many third-degree felonies. Upon the filing of an application, the applicant, unless indigent, shall pay a fee of fifty dollars, regardless of the number of records the application requests to have sealed.

Many offenses that are relatively minor—like marijuana possession—can create issues for folks trying to get their CCW. They also can prevent you from getting certain jobs, certain college funding, and remain online for anyone to see with a simple court records search.

If you would like to see if your eligible, or if your offense is the type that can be sealed, reach out for a free consultation.
